Simulation of sliding mode + PI control for the double Switched Reluctance motors drive system

The paper introduces the components of the double switched reluctance motors drive system. There are two controllers, such as the main controller and the subroutine motor. The main controller is for the closed-loop rotor speed control of the main motor, in which sliding mode control algorithm is adopted. The subroutine controller is for the closed-loop rotor speed control of the subroutine motor, in which PI control algorithm is adopted. The inherent soft mechanical characteristics of the switched reluctance main motor and the switched reluctance subroutine motor contribute to the synchronization of the rotor speeds and the loads distribution in equilibrium between the two motors. The nonlinear simulation model of the double switched reluctance motors drive system with sliding mode + PI control based on MATLAB simulink platform is presented. The simulated results in electromagnetic torque and rotor speed are given.
