The stretching resiliency of poly(butylene succinate-co-terephthalate) (PBST) cotton plied yarn and other elastic fiber (PTT fiber, PET fiber) cotton plied yarn were discussed and analyzed in this paper. By comparing their stretching resiliency tested by using a single yarn tester, it could be concluded that PBST cotton plied yarn had better stretching resiliency. The stretching resiliency of PTT cotton plied yarn and PET cotton plied yarn were lower than PBST cotton plied yarn. The decrease of stretching resiliency was due to the difference of the molecular chain structure and influence of cotton. The study provided a theory basis for the development and application of PBST fibers.
