The effect of magnetic field annealing on recrystallization texture at the early stage of recrystallization of a cold-rolled interstitial-free (IF) steel sheet was investigated by the SEM-EBSD analysis. The magnetic field annealing was performed at 650°C for different times (0, 10 and 30min) with a 12-tesla magnetic field to obtain a partially recrystallized microstructure in specimens. During annealing the transverse direction (TD) of specimen was set to be parallel to the magnetic field. It was found that the {111}<112> texture component was favored by the applied high magnetic field in the early stage of nucleation and growth.
