In the framework of AD RICOSM-STAR a nd HYPAD.COM in ternational projects, funded by the Italian Ministry f or the Environ ment and Terri tory, two sea campaigns were car ried ou t f rom t he no rthern m argin o f Montenegrin coastal area to the southern margin of Drini gulf (Albanian coast). Severa 1 measure ment s tations h ave bee n situated along transe cts showing an high w ater parameter gradients. In each station spectral data w ere coll ected b y means o ft wo s pectroradiometers (Oc eanOptics an d SpectraScan) folio wing th e S eaWiFS protocol in order to obtain the Rrs (Remote s ensing signal) and water sample s were collected f or CDOM, TSM and Ch lorophyll aconcentrations retrieve. The goal of the mission was to exploit the re lationship bet ween Rrs an d th e compo unds concentrations of the water body. A good correlation between CDOM and some Rrs band ratios wasob served, thus encouraging th e developmen t of an e mpirical alg orithm for CDOM concentration retrieve by remote optical data.
