Novel chitosan hydrochloride-genipin microspheres for controlled release of tramadolhydrochloride

Chitosan microspheres crosslinked with genipinwere prepared by a spray-drying method and werecharacterized in terms of morphology, loadingefficiency, zeta potential and X- Ray Diffraction.The effect of the crosslinking agent and crosslinkingtime on the in vitro drug release was evaluated.Microspheres showed a controlled release kinetic.The model drug used in this study was tramadolhydrochloride.
