摘要

This paper investigates the behavior of two important parameters, melt temperature and pressure along the length of the barrel, divided into several zones, of a plastic injection molding machine. A data acquisition program was developed which monitors melt temperature and pressure sensors which are in direct contact with the polymer. Three levels of injection speeds are used to quantify the behavior of these parameters. The profiles developed will be helpful in the formulation of models of melt properties.
