摘要

Improvement of the critical current of YBCO thin films and heterostructures remains one of the main tasks for fabrication of modern superconducting wires and connectors. Possible ways of achieving the goal are choice of superconductor composition, engineering of artificial pinning centres, and combination of the superconducting layer with other materials. The team of the Department of Physics at Technical University of Denmark is working in all these fields and this paper is a short review of our achievements in an attempt to improve the critical current density of YBCO thin films.
