STUTY ON ADSORPTION PROPERTY OF CRABON MICROSPHERES

In this paper, a great deal of carbon microspheres with high purity, uniform diameter and good features relatively were prepared by CVD method. This method was a low cost and easy-handling technique. Acetylene and toluene were used as carbon sources, while ferrocene was used as catalyst. The products were treated by three methods, even as acid treatment, temperature vacuum heat treatments and both of them together, respectively. Then the samples were analyzed and characterized by FESEM, XRD, HRTEM and TGA in order to discover the influence of different ways on the features and structures of carbon microspheres. After treating, carbon microspheres were stable without the dangling bonds, and amorphous carbons in the samples were removed. And via temperature vacuum heat treatments, the graphite degree of carbon microspheres were enhanced greatly. The pore volume of sample had been decreased, and the specific surface area increased. At last the effects of different treatments were discussed, based on comparison their adsorption isotherms of nitrogen.
