This paper deduces the common form of the equation of Isometric Polygonal Curve (IPC) and tenable conditions above all and puts forward that surface formative motions of Isometric Polygonal Profile (IPP) are mostly both the rotation of the parts and corresponding motion. It is pointed out that the machining process of the IPP can be translated into NC process of two axes linkage between three coordinates on machine tools. If the ball lead-screw pair in NC machine tools servo system is replaced with brace mechanism, the relative transmission between the rotation of parts and corresponding motion can be realized via the linkage of two axes. The method not only solves the technical question for designing the equipment grinding IPP, but also establishes the theoretic basis of NC grinding non-round profile.
