Evolution of the Dispute-Resolution Mechanism of FIDIC Contract

FIDIC contract is praised as the "Bible" of civil engineering. It serves as the international practice and general standard for civil engineering projects. The dispute-resolution mechanism of FIDIC contract has experienced a development process from engineer deciding to DAB adjudicating. This paper, after analyzing the dispute-resolution mechanism of FIDIC contract, reveals the deficiencies of engineer deciding and DAB adjudicating. Furthermore, on the basis of a comparison between DAB and DRB dispute resolution mechanisms, it points out the development trend of the dispute-resolution mechanism of FIDIC contract.
