This paper contains a comparison between various impulse loadingmeasurement techniques for determining the impulse load of a 3kgspherical explosive charge (TNT and Comp. B). Experimental- andcomputational results are shown and discussed for these techniques. From the experimental data it is clear that loading structure has asubstantial influence on the inferred impulse load. Computation ofimpulse loading compares well with the experiments outside of thefireball but does not compare well with those within the fireball. Thetechniques discussed measure the same trends and can all be used forcomparative impulse loading studies. Measurement loading structuresshould be chosen carefully to represent real life problems.
