Rigid Foams can be made with high loading of a new line of aromatic polyester polyols without sacrificing foam physicalproperties. This was accomplished via the increase of functionality. These polyols display high hydrocarbon solubility, high R245fa solubility, and are compatible with systems combining these blowing agents with significant loading of water. These polyols can have low OH NO and be used in lamination saving significant quantities of isocyanate. They can beloaded in roofing spray formulations at levels nearly double that of conventional polyester polyols. They can be used in PIPsystems at high loading and still maintain traditional demold times. Two new polyols have been developed: Terol? 1154 for continuous flexible faced lamination and Terol? DS-1326 forspray and PIP applications. Two developmental polyols, DS-1465 and DS-1481, are currently being evaluated for sprayapplications.
