Generating a Database That Allows For ComprehensiveComparisons among Undergraduate Industrial EngineeringPrograms Nationwide

To enhance the undergraduate Industrial Engineering curriculum at the University of Central Florida, benchmarkingwas necessary. To simplify this process and increase the usability of its information, a database was designedencompassing the capacity of each program, its IE curriculum, and significant historical and statistical facts. Wedescribe how this problem was approached and systematically explain the database's structure, ways to utilize itsextensive capabilities, and its application at UCF in the validation of a national IE curriculum reform. The databasewill become available on the Internet, enabling schools to add/update their information, and conduct analysesspecific to their desired purposes.
