Recent year statistical analyses of the water quality detection data reveal the fact that the causes of the changes of water quality in the reservoirs drawing water from the Yellow River mainly include the characteristics of headwater system, the retention time of hydraulic power, the volume of replacement water and the water quality of the Yellow River. This paper explored the water quality restoration techniques of the above mentioned reservoirs according to the water source conditions and the changes of water quality, the results of which indicate that some indexes such as algae, permanganate and dissolved oxygen tell obvious seasonal variations, and there exists a certain linear relationship among the azote, phosphor and algae content.
