Comparison of In Vitro Release Characteristics of Venlafaxine From Tablets ContainingDifferent HPMC Polymers

摘要

Venlafaxine HCl was chosen as the model drug to achieve desired drug release from the different HPMC based tablets. The main scope of the present study was to compare the drug release characteristics of venlafaxine from different HPMC polymers and to develop venlafaxine tablets which have similar drug release profiles with the commercially available formulations. The in vitro release data of the developed formulations was compared with the commercial formulations applying f_2 similarity test Kinetic evaluation of release data also was assessed. The best result was obtained with the tablet contained Methocel K15M CR.
