Controlled Delivery of Ambroxol using the Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate

The release rate of ambroxol from the EVA matrix increased with increased temperature and drug loading doses. Among the plasticizers used, tributyl citrate showed the best enhancing effects. Among the enhancers used, polyoxyethylene 2-oleyl ether showed the best enhancement. For the controlling transdermal delivery of ambroxol, the application of EVA matrix containing plasticizer and penetration enhancer could be useful for the development of controlled drug delivery system
