Two different types of poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(benzyl aspartate) block copolymer, whose amide bonds of the poly(aspartate) block are different, were synthesized and characterized. Incorporation efficiency and stability of water-insoluble camptothecin were evaluated using these block copolymers. The results indicated that a stable CPT-incorporation in polymeric micelles required not only hydrophobicity of the inner core, but also inner chain structure derived from isomerized P(Asp) block.
