Surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors allow for a wireless remote measurement different physical parameters such as temperature, pressure and force [1]. The advantage of these sensors is the passive operation with no battery or other power supply. This paper present the development of a complete sensor interrogation unit for wireless temperature measurement. The focus is directed to solutions of the electronic problems and the high accuracy analyses of resonant frequencies. Measurement results of an experimental setup and the use of fast rotary shafts on field are presented.
