Comparison of Approaches to Managing LNG risk

This paper compares the United States' consequence based approach to managingthe LNG risk with other approaches taken by the rest of the world. Regardless of thecountry, the risk management methodologies remain largely unchanged but experiences ineach individual country remarkably mirror their form of government or regulatoryadministration. The different risk based approaches applied to the LNG industry in differentregions are outlined fully in this paper. The risk based approach is the only way toeffectively manage the LNG risks that can potentially cause harm to workers, third partiesand to the asset.
