The Pollution Prevention by Used Batteries at Universidad Autonoma de Baja California

摘要

In this work, we present description of the program "The Pollution Prevention by Used Batteries" implemented at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (UABC) is done. As part of this program we included a campaign that involves the collection, temporary storage and final disposition of used batteries. We present the obtained results of this program which started during the second semester of 2004 in the Instituto de Ingenieria and currently has been extended to whole campus. Also, the program includes the promotion of strategies to reduce the generation of batteries.
