摘要

The disorganization of the cities during their growing phase has caused several problems, such as: floods caused by inadequate draining systems; wind barrier due to misplacement of buildings; traffic jams at the main roadways, as well as other problems regarding sanitation and environment. Opposing to these problems, an allotment was established in Rio das Ostras District, RJ, Brazil – a city that has been experiencing an accelerated developing rhythm – using environmental comfort techniques suitable to the division (allotment) and the proper use of the soil. Taking advantage of the potential for local tourism, which has preserved areas in its urban boundaries, a sustainable and ecologically correct allotment becomes necessary. In this study, sun exposure, use of the wind, planting of trees and the proximity of a preserved area were the priority facts considered. Examples of Sustainable Energy Systems like solar panels for water heating; use of the local eolic potential for buildings airing; and the planting of trees as a way of soften the high local temperature were used in this project.
