In vitro release profiles for a controlled releasetablet formulation have been modeled usinggenetic programming (GP), a new 'machinelearning' technology in which the models areexpressed in the form of mathematicalequations. Comparisons with a previous studyshow that GP develops models at least as goodas those from statistics.
