Polyethylenimine (PEI)-Conjugated Microparticles for Delivery of Nucleic Acid Vaccines

We report here design,synthesis andcharacterization of PEI conjugated PLGAmicroparticles that allow highly efficient surfaceloading of plasmid DNA,impart intrinsic pH bufferingability to the microparticle formulation and improvetransfection efficiencies in phagocytic cells withoutaffecting the cytocompatibility of the formulation.
