The dawn of grid technologies offers nuclear explosion monitoring a perfect question solving environment, so NEMGrid: Nuclear Explosion Monitoring Grid is introduced. In accordance with current state of grid applications, a framework from abstract workflow to concrete workflow was designed for NEMGrid applications. In order to support the framework a Service Flow Net model was proposed based on Petri net 、Workflow 、Grid Service 、Web Service and other related technologies. Now a prototype system based on Service Flow Net Model had been implemented. The architecture and functionality of the system was presented. It is mainly composed of Service Flow Editor、Service Flow Engine、Service Flow Repository、Service Operation Engine. A new service-oriented grid resource discovery method was also presented based on an improved routing-transfer mechanism. Lastly a realistic nuclear explosion monitor scenario was illustrated in the current implementation of the prototype system.
