TRACK MOUNTED VIDEOGRAMMETRY SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATED HIGHACCURACY MEASUREMENT OF LARGE OBJECTS

In the past, film photogrammetry systems have been a workhorse for high accuracymeasurements of large objects. Videogrammetry has come into its own in productionenvironments but its use for large objects requiring high accuracy, using traditional processes, istouch-labor intensive and time consuming. Mounting the Videogrammetry cameras to acomputer controlled track system allows this process to be automated, greatly reducing the laborrequired to make these measurements. Recent software innovations and camera evolutions haveprovided a further reduction in processing time and increase in accuracy.
