摘要

CASNET model for knowledge representation and inference is introduced. Then, itsapplication in diagnosis of tomato’s physiological disease is demonstrated. CASNET model is putforward as a specific model for knowledge representation and reasoning in expert system. It is acausal associational network system. It is mainly used in the diagnosis and treatment of thosediseases which mechanism are understood well. In the way of knowledge representation, CASNETmodel, adopting network graph theory model, decomposes knowledge base into four planes, whichare observation plane, pathology and physiology plane, disease type plane and cure program plane.In the way of inference, CASNET model adopts uncertainty reasoning. It can introduce differentreasoning formula and certainty factor in different plane. Finally, a concrete application on thediagnosis of tomato’s physiological disease is presented.
