A paper was submitted (Part 1) at the NATAS 2003 conference. At the end of the paper, an attendee strongly disagreed with both the conclusions and the data. Since there was insufficient time to respond to the comments, this paper will attempt to address the main issues. The attendee's basis for the strong disagreement included: 1. It is "Fictive Temperature" and not "Fictive Tg." 2. The temperature trend seen in the MDSC® Reversing signal on aged samples is an error caused by the use of only the first harmonic in the FT deconvolution process. 3. Tg can only be measured in cooling because of the superheating that can occur during heating.
