Maintenance of Continuously Monitored Degrading Systems

In this paper we consider a condition-based maintenance policy for continuously monitored degrading systems. We investigate a robust maintenance policy, availability limit policy, which ensures that a maximum availability level of the system is achieved. The optimum degradation threshold level that ensures the desired steady-state availability of the system is also determined. A numerical example that demonstrates this policy is presented.
