Apply Bhattacharya's Graphical Method to Stable Product Growth

摘要

This paper is intended to introduce basic concepts and principles of mathematical statistics and review Bhattacharya's graphical method. It consists of 3 main parts. First part begins with a brief discussion of the meaning of mixture distribution and the aim of Bhattacharya's graphical method about the decomposition of a finite normal mixtures into components. Second part introduces the formal definition of the normal distribution and its extension to the univariate normal mixture with various properties. Third is the application to product sales based on steps for Bhattacharya's graphical method. To prove the practical field using, the CD sales by Jan-Sin CD company in Taiwan as our example.
