The role of intervention complexity for the feasibility of scaling-up Health interventions in low and middle-income countries

The Commission of Macroeconomics and Health (CMH) (1) recommended a massive, global effort to scale up priority health interventions. Working Group 5 of the CMH (2) analysed constraints to scaling up key health interventions from a health system perspective, and the options available for relaxing or eliminating constraints were analysed in detail by Hanson et al (3).
