摘要

A highly compact model is described for propagating a Gaussian beam in a multilayered medium where the layers are either isotropic or anisotropic in their material properties. This formulation for a single Gaussian can be used as the basis for a multi-Gaussian beam model that can model the fields of a circular planar piston transducer (planar or focused) present after multiple reflections/transmissions from curved interfaces.
