摘要

We investigated the inflammatory responses induced by plasmid DNA (pDNA)/liposome complexes or pDNA encapsulated in HVJ-liposome in cultured mouse macrophages. These complexes potently induced a significant amount of cytokine. However, these responses occurred even when CpG motifs in pDNA were methylated, and did not require endosomal acidification. Cytokine production by DNA/liposome complexes may be independent on CpG-motif in DNA.
