The importance of trust has grown over the last decade because of the prevalent use ofbusiness strategies that depend on the cooperative behavior of groups of economicpartners. Such behavior is, in general, a response to the increased complexity and instabilityof the business environment and the associated pressure that this places onorganizations (Moss Kanter, 1989).Research in the field of production and operations management has been dealing withthe phenomenon of competition as well as the phenomenon of cooperation for a longtime. One reason for this interest is the fact that cooperations can generate win-winsituations.To reach such a win-win-situation in a supply chain it is necessary to designa planning and coordination system that includes all companies within the supply chain.In this context cooperations are very important in all its forms between market solutionsand hierarchy. Due to the fact that cooperations are not static but highly dynamic therelationships concerning the decisions of the management of cooperations should bewell understood. So there is a need for a theoretically dynamic based analysis of cooperations.Trust can be seen as the crucial item for the constitution as well as thedevelopment of the cooperation over time, which is a dynamic and extremely complexphenomenon. The various links between the dynamic of cooperations and trust within asupply chain as a hole makes optimal decisions concerning the management of cooperationsdifficult as an aspect of supply chain management.The object of this paper is to discuss the different possibilities for transactions and coordinationsfor a company and to analyze cooperations itself as a dynamic construct.Additionally, trust will be examined as a major instrument for co-ordinations in cooperations.Finally, a dynamic analysis of a supply chain is supposed to be as asynthesis of the dynamic of cooperations and the aspect of trust.
