GE Plastics has developed a polymeric film (SOLL~(TM)) as part of its pursuit to provide a truly weatherable polymer system that offers paint-like appearance in a wide variety of metallic colors with Class A finish and exterior application durability, especially applicable in automotive exterior panels and trim. SOLL~(TM) film with its unique property combination can be applied over a wide range of substrates to yield a Class A finish that offers high-gloss, weatherability, scratch and chemical resistance, and high surface quality without the need for paint.
