At present, the main and most widely used methods for regional assessing groundwater flow are the following ones: method of genetic stream hydrograph separation for a many-years period, hydrody-namic method for calculating groundwater discharge (modeling included), method for assessing river recharges with groundwater by a change of their low-water runoff, method for calculating water balance of groundwater recharge or discharge areas. For the last yearssome methods based on the use of natural tracers has become widely used. The main methods for regional assessment of groundwater flow have some advantages and limitations, which are considered in detail in the report. Given methods are not competing, they supplement each other very well. That is why the most reliable result is obtained under a complex use of different methods for regional groundwater flow assessment.
