DEEP MECHANICAL FLOTATION MACHINES WITH AXIAL IMPELLERS AND FLOTATION COLUMNS WITH JET AERATORS

We report on the development and research results of deep mechanical flotation machines with axial impellers. Advantages of these machines are shown in comparison with flotation machines of the Wemco and OK types. The authors propose to use the research results for modernization of mechanical and pneumatic-mechanical machines with cell depths of up to 2.5 m. The flotation columns with jet aerators have been developed and introduced for flotation of sylvite with a particle size of -3 + 0.8 mm and for diamonds with a particle size of -2 + 0.5 mm. The authors present data on the usage of such columns for flotation of particles with normal and lowered flotation particle size, with high specific productivity and high technological indices.
