摘要

Reliability evaluation programs require large amounts of generation, transmission, distribution, load and cost data. Since large portions of these data are common to many reliability programs, it is beneficial to have the data centralized in a single location in order to avoid multiple entries of the same datum and hence reduce the potential for errors. This paper presents a computer program capable of consolidating all the reliability data of a power system in a single database that is accessible by a variety of reliability programs. The database, which is developed in Microsoft Visual Basic circle R, is menu-driven and contains sophisticated sanity-checking algorithms to ensure that only accurate data can be entered. The proposed database unifies the reliability data thus providing a means for comparing the algorithms used by various reliability programs.
