As a result, tin oxide-coated graphite electrodes typically exhibited the discharge capacity value exceeding 350mAh/g at first cycle and also showed the better cycle performance and rate capability than those of the raw graphite, especially when it was used in PC containing electrolyte solution. Therefore, it could be concluded based on this work that the tin oxide-coated graphite electrode had a more compact and conductive solid electrolyte interface (SEI); which has Li_2O richer phase film than that of raw graphite electrode.
