The principle benefit of a quantified risk assessment is the evaluation of 'opportunity'. Maintenance 'opportunity' relies on a move to a more proactive, operationally sancitioned, target setting regime. This regime can provide the structrue to manage the measurable uncertainties within amintenance performance, thus ensuring a progression to achievable productivity gains. Quantified risk assessment supports and extends existing techniques in maintenance management to provide greater auditable comprehension of the key perational drivers to maximis 'opportunity'. This provides the foundation to measure, target and improve operational performance to ensure future throughput and operational efficiency. The synthesis of the project is a performance management tool which generates routine maintenance targets for each plaftform in an Integrated Services Contract. This will achieve significant cost reduction against EXISTING maintenance practices, whilst maintaining production performance and asset 'health'.
