The Evaluation of Channel Delays of Data Acquisition Systems

This paper presents a simple and useful evaluation method for the channel delay difference of data acquisition systems. It utilizes the sinusoid curvefit method with a special digital filter. A single frequency digital filter has been designed and realized, and its frequency domain transfer function is described. The error sources are analyzed, and some methods to reduce the uncertainty of evaluation results are discussed.
