摘要

Based on the use of a high-performance, non-invasive, specific carbon dioxide sensor, a biological-elettrochemical analytical system has been developed for reliable, low-cost, rapid investigations of microbiological processes. Experiments have been carried out with Escherichia coli, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, airborne and waste-waters microrganisms; a mathematical model has been developed. Results suggest advanced application tor biotechnological processes development and control, and for air and waste-waters microbiological control.
