The application of a specially developed fibrous composite material filler for surfacing the aluminium parts and components is described. The material contains nickel and iron fibres in the aluminium matrix. Taking as an example surfacing of pistons from the casting aluminium alloy with this wire, the posibility of increasing their wear resistance by 2 to 2.5 times is shown.
