An improved design method for the riprap of earthfill dams of large reservoirs

Since impounding of hte various reservoirs of the La Grande Complex in northern Quebec,the riprap of wseveral dams and dykes suffered some damage dienergie de la Baie James (SEBJ) in january 1992 to review the riprap design and design method,for the riprap of earthifill dams of large researvoirs,is proposed based on four years of intensive studies and fifteen years of fied data.large scale model tests with irregular waves ocmpoeted the studies.
