Reduction of a synchronous machine model to generate a model suitable for computer analysis

This paper outlines the procedure of a reduction technique through the state space method which is applied to a synchronous machine connected to an infinite bus. The machine is equipped with excitation system and hydro turbine governor [1,2,3]. The effectiveness of the model reduced is studied using computer simulation.
