A driver owning an on-board equipment for guidance purpose can receive a recommended itinerary towards its destination. For bi-directional guidance, travel times experimented by cars are sent to the infrastructure. This paper deals with the improvement of guidance strategies: in order to better know travel times, the authors propose a filtering solution which uses both flow and travel time data. Bi-directional guidance strategies are simulated for several percent ages of equipped vehicles. Advantages of the fusion of data are pointed out, showing gains in no incident situation for equipped vehicles (up to 5 percent ) and for the whole network (up to 3 percent ).
