摘要

The simulation of the dynamics of an entire vehicle requires the modeling of many components, which influence the overall system behavior. A detailed simulation model of the system dynamics of a vehicle shows the limits of available simulation tools, which are mainly specialized on certain physical disciplines, e.g. mechanics, hydraulics, electrics, etc. For each of these disciplines the necessary simulators are available, a simulator covering all disciplines is not available (and probabily not desirable). The main idea proposed in this paper is to build up the simulation of the entire system using functional simulation components, like a car is built up using components made by suppliers. A common project of Daimler-Benz and INTEC called Modellverbund demonstrates using a simplified but typical example, how to couple already available commercial simulation tools.
