The fully stress method for layout optimization of truss structures

摘要

In this paper the layout optimization for trusses is studied using the concept of generalized structure and Fully Stress Method (FSM). The derivatives of the displacements at the virtual nodes with respect to their coordinates and the gradient of the discrimination have been derived. The optimal locations of the virtual nodes are searched using gradient method. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.
