In this paper a general comprehensive method combining the superpositionadn the state-space technique is presented for the vibration analysis of cross-ply laminated plates with general boundary conditions. The analysis is based on a refined higher-order shear deformation theory developed by Reddy [1].which considers parabolic distributionof transverse shear stress and satisfies stress-free boundary conditions on plate surfects.Nondimensional fundamental frequency is obtained for plates having two adjacent, three and four edges clamped. Results have been compared among for classical, first order and thkird order shear deformation theories to show the relative differences.
