Biodegradation of trichloroethylene in anaerobic /aerobic column studies

A variety of toxic organic contaminants are found at DOE sites including fuel hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's) and volatile organic solvents such as trichloroethylene (TCE), perchloroethylene (PCE) and carbon tetrachloride. These compounds may occur as single contaminants, but are more often found in conjunction with oil, heavy metals, or in mixed wastes containing radioactive components.
