A proprietary extended set-control admixture, DELVO, was recently evaluated by the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station (WES), Vicksburg, MS, under authority of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Construction Productivity Advancement Research Program. WES research focused on evaluation of overnight, same-day, and long-haul stabilization applications of the admixture, while the admixture developer, Master Builders, Inc., concentrated on simplifying the procedures for generating the admixture dosage charts. Results of the WES research investigation indicated that the fresh and hardened properties of mixtures representing the three stabilization applictions were generally comparable to those of untreated refreence mixtures.
